SOLOS, DUETS & TRIOS

1. You must attend a one solo, duet or trio meeting.
2. We will be assigning your teacher, style, song, and costume.
Our desire for our students who choose to do a solo, duet or trio, is for the dancer to improve in performance, and technique by giving them the best chance to do so. In order to assist them in this, we will be picking the song, choreographer and costume for each solo, duet or trio. You will be allowed to say if you would like a Christian song or not. All song choices will be in line with MMDCO guidelines. Seniors will be working with their teacher and have more of a say in their choices.
Lastly, Please do not email or approach teachers on the subject matter. Please feel free to email Ms. Lei if you have more questions.

Please keep in mind that if you would like to do a solo, duet or trio that you must be flexible with your time. If you can not commit to coming different days/times throughout the year then you should not sign up. Solos, duets and trios are done on our teachers extra time which may change depending on their weekly availably. If you have any questions please email Ms. Lei at [email protected]
+Dancer must be...
On Dance Team OR be at an Int or Adv level
If you are not on dance team or YBT your Ballet level must be Intermediate I Ballet or above and your contemporary level must be Intermediate Contemporary or Above.
Petite Team members must be taking jazz and ballet.
+If you are not on Dance Team or YBT you must take the following classes
CONTEMPORARY/JAZZ/LYRICAL/MODERN SOLO:
1 Contemporary class
1 Stretch Class
Your ballet level requirements
BALLET/POINTE SOLO:
1 Stretch Class
Your ballet level requirements
1 Pointe Class
1 Variations Class (if you are eligible)
+Hours
*Some students may need more than 10 hours.
This will be at the teachers discretion.
10 Hours (Beg), 9 Hours (Int), 8 Hours (Adv) :
Competition & 1 show in recital
6 Hours: 1 show in recital
+Cost:
*There will be a one time $30 service/scheduling fee.
SOLO
$31 per half hour/$72 per hour
Example:
Competition Solo: 10 x $72=$720
*Competition fees are not included
DUET
$26 per half hour, per person/$52 per hour, per person
*Competition fees are not included
TRIO
$24 per half hour, per person/$48 per hour, per person
