Youth Ballet Theater Junior
Youth Ballet Theater Junior is for dancers who take 7,8 ballet, intro to ballet or Beginner 1 ballet. In addition to ballet class, dancers will also participate in a weekly 30 minute rehearsal class that will be scheduled either right before or after their ballet class. YBT Jr. Will learn choreography for our 2024 spring ballet to be performed with YBT in March. YBT Junior will also learn a dance to be performed in the 2024 spring recital.
Fees for YBT Jr.
- the weekly 30 minute rehearsal will be the same cost as a regular 30 minute class
- There will be a costume rental fee for the Spring Ballet
- There will be a costume fee for the recital
Requirements
- students must be enrolled in ballet class according to the levels of 7,8 ballet, Intro to ballet or Beginner 1 ballet
Commitment
- students will attend a weekly rehearsal class in addition to their regular ballet classes.
- students will have 2 or 3 Saturday rehearsals with YBT (Jan-March) in preparation for the performance.
- parents will be asked to volunteer for working at rehearsals/performance.
- parents will be helping in fundraising (serving meals at a rehearsal and donating Baked goods for the Bake sale)
(The volunteer hours are divided up so it's not too much for one person)

The First rehearsal in the fall will be a parent meeting to make sure everyone has all the information and to go over the schedule.
