Putting on a production is a very costly endeavor! In order to keep the costs low for you, we depend on the help of volunteers. Having each parent volunteer for a minimal part of the whole helps us put on a beautiful show while making it an affordable opportunity for families.
To participate in Mary Poppins one parent from each family must work at least one performance and either one dress rehearsal (in studio, or dress), or one dinner fundraiser. We are also requiring each family to donate 2 slots for dinner fundraisers.
Mandatory Volunteering
One Performance:

We will be having two performances, so you will be able to help one show and enjoy watching the other. During the performance we will need dressing room moms, backstage hands, ushers etc.
If you are volunteering as a stage hand then you will need to be at dress rehearsal.
One Dress Rehearsal:
One Dress Rehearsal
We schedule two dress rehearsals, one will be held at the studio, and one will be held at the theater. We will need moms to help the kids change back stage and keep the rooms organized.
Two Dinner fundraiser slots:
Because the Spring ballet is a low budget production, we will be adding a fundraiser. The dinner fundraiser is held during rehearsals at the studio with one being held at the theater. Each family will sign up to donate 2 slots. (each cast member will pay $5 for a meal).
Meal dates are:
March 9th: 3:30- 5:30 p.m.
March 22nd: TBD
March 23rd: TBA

Optional Volunteering (but needed😊)
Projects
We make our own props and many of our own costumes for our productions because buying is really costly. While we have a few people who volunteer their time and talent to do the bulk of the work, they cannot do it alone. We need people to do simple projects that will save our main production crew time. These little tasks are things that can be done while your child is in class during the week day, during Saturday rehearsals, at home etc. We appreciate any amount of time you can contribute!
