Dear Parents,
We’re excited to offer an additional opportunity for our dancers this season! Dancers now have the option to be considered for one or two extra competition dances beyond the two required for company.
While dancers may express interest in one or two extra dances, placement in either or both is not guaranteed. However, if a dancer is placed in a group, participation is required.
We’re introducing these optional dances to give dancers who are eager for more a chance to push themselves—not only technically, but also in their confidence, performance quality, musicality, and artistry. These extra pieces allow dancers to grow by taking on new styles, learning to work in smaller or different group settings, and developing greater stage presence through additional performance opportunities.
Rehearsal Time & Commitment:
These dances will rehearse outside of regular team time. Rehearsals will begin with one hour every other week, then transition to 30 minutes weekly as competition season approaches—amounting to approximately two hours per month. Absences are highly discouraged, as these groups require a more serious commitment.
The rehearsals for these extra dances could potentially be:
Monday 4:30-5:30
Wednesday 4:30-7:00
Thursday 4:30-5:30/8:30-9:30

Cost Breakdown:
Participation in an extra dance will include the following costs (per dance):
- $270 for the year of rehearsals ($30/month, no discounts apply)
- Up to $100 for costume (often less)
- $150 in competition fees ($75 per event x2)
- $50 for mock compeition w/live feedback
